There are two main types of salsa – ones that are cooked and ones that are not.  Pico de gallo is an example of a fresh salsa.  This is the kind of salsa that you normally get in Mexican restaurants around North America.  Chow down on a bowl of pico de gallo and corn chips as you look over the menu.  It’s the perfect way to start a meal.

This salsa recipe includes all the traditional flavours that you’re familiar with.  I love the freshness from the coriander, lime and tomatoes – and using the Thermomix to do all of the chopping, you can make this in no time at all!

Pico de Gallo (Fresh Salsa)

Pico do Gallo is a fresh and zingy salsa. In this recipe, the Thermomix does the heavy duty chopping so you don't have to.
