Quinoa Porridge with Apples and Cinnamon
Try this variation on your traditional porridge recipe. Use the Thermomix to cook the quinoa and skip the stirring.
- 1 apple quartered and de-seeded
- 80 g quinoa washed
- 90 g water
- 55 g reduced fat milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnanmon
- Honey to taste (optional)
Put the apple in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 seconds/Speed 5
Scrap down the sides of the bowl with the spatula, add quinoa, water, milk, salt and cinnamon and cook with the measuring cup (MC) half off for 15 minutes | 100C | Reverse | Speed 2 until the liquid is absorbed and quinoa is opaque
Top with honey to serve
